"Schweineschnäuzchen" on tour
The rail bus of the BorkumThe narrow-gauge railway, affectionately called the “pig-nosed” because of its shape, began operating in 1940. This type of railcar was developed in the early 1930s for low-cost rail transport. Today, a restored model runs on Borkum for nostalgic excursions with photo stops at the Deichschart.

Description
The rail bus starts at the island station and heads towards the ferry port. You can enjoy the ride in the historic vehicle on the 7,5-kilometer-long route. The large windows offer an unobstructed view of the passing landscape. The bus stops at the dike chart and passengers have plenty of opportunity to take photos. Groups are happy to book the "Schweineschnäuzchen" for a trip into the blue.
