Robin Sellin and Johannes Heger, known as Nature in the City, first met in Boston while studying music at the renowned Berklee College of Music. This time, far from their familiar home, forged a close bond between the two friends. Freezing winters, vibrant Indian summers, and the magical atmosphere of a pulsating, international music scene shaped the heartbeat of their shared music.
Inspired by artists like Simon & Garfunkel, Jack Johnson, and John Mayer, Nature in the City create their own unique blend of groovy, poppy folk-rock. With double bass, acoustic guitar, bass drum, tambourine, and warm harmonies, the duo often sounds like far more than just two people on stage. Their lyrics and stories flow smoothly, revealing Robin and Johannes as thoughtful yet optimistic individuals who always maintain a kernel of hope, even in melancholic moments.
Following the release of their debut album, Nature in the City toured extensively for many years, playing at festivals such as Feel, Rocken am Brocken, and Artlake. Their albums Time and Nature in the City are available on all major online platforms.
